Food Service Charging Procedure

Students are allowed to charge up to ten (10) times (combined) for their meals.

When a student comes through the breakfast and/or lunch line and does not have a positive balance, that student will be allowed to charge up to 10 times. There is no dollar amount set for charges as each student's 10 charges would be different depending on their meal status.

After the tenth charge, all students will be offered an alternative meal. The alternative breakfast will consist of toast, fruit & milk and the alternative lunch will consist of a peanut butter or cheese sandwich, a fruit & vegetable, and milk at no charge.

Students will continue to receive alternative meals until their balance is brought back into the positive or the parents have made arrangements with the Director of Food Services.

e-Funds for Schools provides an easy way to make sure your student(s) have a positive balance and to check meal transactions.

Prepayments can be made online by visiting Food Services page on the district website at and clicking on Pay for Meals Online.

Cash or check payments should be deposited in the building office in the morning before school starts. All money received will be deposited to your student's account within 1-2 business days. There is no limit to the amount of money that can be deposited into the account.

Low balance and negative balance alerts will be sent out via email & phone through School Messenger.

All meal balances must be paid before the end of the school year or your child may be excluded from certain district activities.

If you have any questions regarding the charging procedures please do not hesitate to contact Heather Wirsig, Director of Food Services, at (660) 747-7823.
