What is Adventure Club?
Adventure Club is the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Program designed to meet the out-of-school needs of the Warrensburg R6 Children. Adventure Club provides a safe environment and experiences that enrich and enhance each child’s cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and language development. Within the program’s daily schedule, each child will have opportunities to create, explore the environment, investigate through problem-solving and personal interaction skills, and learn through “hands-on” experiences.
Adventure Club provides tutoring services in Reading and Math at no additional charge. Other program classes include, but are not limited to:

Hours and Fees
We open our doors at 6:00 a.m. for before school programming and provide after school programming until 6:00 p.m.

After School Only $35.00 per week
Before and After School $60.00 per week
Early Dismissal $5.00/$12.00
Full Day $18.00 per day

Transportation home from the program in the evening is provided for families who do not have transportation.

Absence Policy

If a student is absent for a week or more, there will be no charge during the absence if we are notified at least 7 days in advance. You may complete the following online form or a paper form through the Adventure Club office.

Adventure Club Behavior Intervention Policy

Violent Behavior

Physical Violence

  • Including assault (hitting, biting, hair-pulling, kicking, etc.) of another child, staff member, volunteer, one's self, or any other person at the Adventure Club program.
  • Including destruction of school property, or the property of others.
  • Including the threat of physical violence toward any other person at the Adventure Club program or one's self.

Intervention Process:

First Offense:

  • Child is removed from the group and the parent is called to pick up. Use of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques and the safe room if the student is a threat to others or themselves.
  • The child processes the event with program staff.
  • An incident report and other necessary documents are completed and signed by a parent.
  • Child is suspended for 3 days.

Second Offense:

  • Same as above, except the child is suspended for 1 week.

Third Offense:

  • Child is suspended permanently from the Adventure Club program.

In severe cases, the child may be permanently suspended on the First or Second Offense.

Verbal Violence

  • Including the use of profanity or name calling directed at another person at Adventure Club

Intervention Process:

First Offense:

  • Child is immediately removed from the group and parent is called to pick up.
  • The child processes the event with a staff member.
  • An incident report and other necessary documents are completed and signed by a parent.

Second Offense:

  • Same as above, except the child is suspended for a period of 3 days.

Third and Further Repeating Offenses:

  • Same as above, except the child will be suspended from the program for a period of one week.

Non-Violent Behavior

  • Child is given three verbal warnings.
  • If behavior persists, the child is removed from the group to a safe seat.
  • The child processes with the program staff after a time-out period of 10 minutes or less.
  • The child returns to the group.
  • If behavior persists, the child is given one warning.
  • If the behavior persists, the child is removed from the group and may choose to either do homework or read until a parent/authorized pick-up arrives.

Adventure Club provides necessary and reasonable modifications and accommodations for students that have an Individualized Education or 504 plans, in order to help each child be successful in the program. Behavior interventions are modified accordingly for non-violent behavior to the extent that the nature and scope of the program are upheld. However, the violent behavior consequences will apply up to and including expulsion from the program.
