5K Training Pace Chart

As your coach, it is my goal to help you achieve your goals! I have created a 5K training pace chart to help you achieve your goals by the end of the season! Just look at what you want your goal 5K time to be by the end of the season, and see what paces you need to hit for your workouts.

3.    Ex.) One workout for this week is to run a 3-mile Fartlek (0.5mi @ HP // 0.5mi easy). If my goal time is to run a 17:00 5K by the end of the season, then I would look at what the HP [half marathon] pace would be of a 17:00 5K. The HP pace is a 6:04. So during the 3-mile Fartlek, I will need to make sure that every other 0.5 mile is at a 6:04 pace (every 0.5 mile I'm at HP pace, I need to run it in 3:02).
