Yesterday, Sterling students who sold the qualifying candy bar sales were rewarded with a visit to Arrowhead Stadium. They got to tour the building and learn about the history of the Kansas City Chiefs. They were bummed that they didn't see Travis Kelce or Taylor Swift! They had a great time getting to view the behind-the-scenes of Arrowhead! #tigerpride #letsgochiefs

Sterling was living in a "Barbie World" today! Their staff was each dressed as a different Barbie or Ken. The CEO of Mattel, a.k.a. Dr. Ritter, also appeared. They performed a skit for students. They did an awesome job!

Yesterday, during Professional Development, Dr. Katie Ritter trained some of our teachers on LETRS. Professional Development and training in Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) is important because it equips educators with essential knowledge and skills to effectively teach reading and spelling. This training will empower our teachers with the knowledge and tools they need to be effective reading instructors for our students.

Athletes from UCM visited Martin Warren yesterday to read to the students as part of the UCM Literacy Program. They will visit each elementary school this fall. Our students loved having all the different sports there. Mo the Mule was a highlight of the day!
