Our WMS gifted classes participated in action research as they examined our school's wifi network. Students researched wifi networks, toured the server room, and collected information on how our school network is structured. Then, they wrote research plans, choosing their research questions and methodology. Students then collected network upload/download speed data in all their classrooms over a couple of weeks. Finally, they analyzed their data and presented their findings to our WSD Tech Department. In the end, students saw real changes happen to technology support and hardware in specific areas of our building after identifying wifi connection patterns.
We want to thank Mr. Anstine, Mr. Case, Mr. Nichols, and Ms. Allen for giving our students an authentic learning experience. #tigerpride
